THE late Tony Wilson was an inspiration to many people, and not just in Manchester, but now two more budding entrepreneurs are citing him as a major motivation in setting up Monster Music Videos.
Jean-Paul Bankes-Mercer and James Doheny intend to build a company that moves beyond the traditional output of a production house, and to take advantage of the explosion of new digital platforms.

If you couldn’t make the Wall Of Sound gig at the Liverpool Carling Academy shame on you. Don’t worry Monster Music Videos recorded all four acts in glorious MonsterMusicVision(TM).
Reverend and the Makers, The Infadels, Shortwave Set and A. Human captivated the Carling Academy patrons and delivered a stunning night. Monster are also digitally marketing the footage so watch this space for info on how you can catch all four acts online.
Here’s a clip to whet your appetite..
Monster Music Videos are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Big Chip 'Tenth anniversary' technology awards in the ‘Micro Enterprise’ category.
Monster were also honored to be commissioned to make a short film screened on the night which celeberated Tony Wilson’s pioneering love of digital technology. ‘Digital Tony’ contained classic moments from the 1990’s television series ‘The Program’ which Tony hosted, including Bill Oddie waving his mouse in mid-air whilst playing Bull Frogs ‘Magic Carpet’ video game and Ken Livingston playing SimCity.
Thanks to all our new digital Manchester friends for enjoying the film and giving us a night to remember!
"Top festival for 2008" - The Sunday Times
In its Capital of Culture year, Liverpool’s latest musical adventure is Liverpool SoundCity, an annual four day music business conference and festival rolled into one which saw signed and unsigned bands playing across the city. Designed to rival the legendary SXSW event in the US SoundCity was a massive success and further establishes the musical might of the North-West.
Monster Music Videos were the official video company for Liverpool SoundCity and are delighted to have helped launch it in such spectacular style. Many thanks to Dave Pichilingi and all of the SoundCity team for their help.
Monster Music Videos have shot the debut music video from Daniel Tse an exciting new artist whose first single "Broken Wing' will be released in the UK and China in the Autumn.
The video for 'Broken Wing', which will be the first release from his new album ‘Inner Sense’, was shot on location around Manchester’s stunning Barton Arcade. As a self titled North-West-Easterner, (Mum's from the North-East, Dad's from Hong Kong), Daniel certainly brings something new and exciting to the music scene...
A special shout goes out to Morgan Leahy, Ringspun Clothing, The General Store and The Circle Club and staff for all their help..
